So let me tell you about a little graphic experience I had, after started blogging around 2 months ago.

I create new pins! and some other good-looking pins every another day for my blog and post it to Pinterest. (do you relate?)

And what I’ve always keep in mind is to create graphics pins that are simple and consistent to match my theme layout and Pinterest feed.

To design a perfect pin/graphic on your portfolio, all you need is that ‘wow’ from the second a person sees your graphic.

And if you want to make that magic happen in 13 milliseconds, constrast of your graphic must be doing a great job.

And in order to create an appealing design with useful information laid out, visual balance is what you want to do to bring out the symmetrical layout that appears to be consistent with an orderly look.

However, it can be seen as the above that a well symmetrical image doesn’t seem to be the more interesting graphic than the latter one.

Visual balance in graphic tend to keep the viewer’s eye longer to process the valuable information on it.

How to improve balance in graphics?

COLOR – Repeat the usage of the same color to enhance visual weight
SIZES– Use the same size of elements to create an orderly match layout (this tells people the main idea of your listing!)
BRAINSTORM the whole idea of your post and create a mindmap graphic.

People tend to click into graphics that are harder to see what’s inside, so they would rather go for a close-up on your graphic if it is organized with bit-size blocks that look visually balanced.
